2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data, as well as the Nature, Purpose, and Use

When you engage our services, we collect the following information:

• Salutation, first and last name

• Valid email address

• Postal address

• Phone number (landline and/or mobile)

• Information necessary for asserting or defending your rights within the scope of the mandate

This data is collected in order to:

• Identify you as our client

• Provide appropriate legal advice and representation

• Communicate with you

• Issue invoices

• Handle any potential liability claims and assert any claims against you

Processing of this data is carried out at your request and is necessary for the purposes outlined above in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, for proper handling of the mandate and the mutual fulfillment of obligations under the engagement agreement.

Personal data collected for client engagement is stored until the expiration of the statutory retention period for lawyers (6 years after the end of the calendar year in which the mandate concluded) and then deleted, unless longer storage is required under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR due to tax or commercial record-keeping obligations (HGB, StGB, or AO), or unless you have consented to further storage under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

3. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those specified below.

Where necessary for the execution of the mandate in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, your personal data may be shared with third parties, including opposing parties and their representatives (e.g., their lawyers), courts, and other public authorities, for correspondence and asserting or defending your rights. Data shared may only be used by the recipient for these purposes. Attorney-client privilege remains unaffected. Data subject to attorney-client privilege will only be shared with third parties in consultation with you.

4. Rights of the Data Subject

You have the right to:

• Withdraw consent at any time under Art. 7(3) GDPR, meaning we can no longer process data based on that consent in the future

• Request access to your personal data under Art. 15 GDPR, including the purposes of processing, categories of data, recipients, planned storage duration, and the existence of rights to correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, as well as automated decision-making, including profiling

• Request correction of inaccurate data under Art. 16 GDPR

• Request deletion of your data under Art. 17 GDPR, unless processing is required for freedom of expression, legal obligations, public interest, or asserting/defending legal claims

• Request restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR

• Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format or request its transfer to another controller under Art. 20 GDPR

• File a complaint with a supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR

5. Right to Object

6. Use of the Website, Cookies, and Analytics Tools

6.1 Cookie Consent Tool (Complianz)
Our website uses the cookie consent tool Complianz to obtain and document legally required consent for storing certain cookies or using specific technologies. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (compliance with legal obligations under TTDSG).

6.2 Use of Cookies

6.3 Google Analytics

6.4 Hosting and Server Logfiles
Technical information is logged automatically when visiting our website (e.g., IP address, date/time, visited page, browser type, operating system, referrer URL) for website stability and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No merging with other data sources occurs.

6.5 Contact Form (WPForms)
Data entered in the contact form (name, email, phone, message content) is processed for handling your inquiry. Google reCAPTCHA is used to prevent spam. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a mandate) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

6.6 Google reCAPTCHA
Used to verify that form submissions are made by humans. Some data may be transferred to Google, including IP address and browser data. Consent is required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and can be revoked.

6.7 Google Maps
Used for interactive maps and directions. IP address may be transmitted to Google servers in the USA under standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Consent is required and can be revoked.

7. Data Transfer and Disclosure

Personal data is only shared with third parties as required for website operation, use of services (e.g., Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA), processing inquiries, or legal obligations. Transfers outside the EU occur only with appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 ff. GDPR.
